punkpunkjunglefever is a re-imagining of Spring Awakening – a deconstructed punk ritual of adolescence. The work dismantles the architecture of the original tragedy and rebuilds it through feral music, fevered language, and ecstatic physicality.

Featuring five performers from DOG⧖MA, CAKE’s initiative bringing a new generation of artists into its experimental performance practice , together with long-time collaborator Edith Podesta,  punkpunkjunglefever unfolds as a fevered coming-of-age: part riot, part love song, part funeral.
